  • Rinse rice in cool water until water runs clear. Drain any excess water.

  • Place water and garlic in a blender and puree.

  • Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  • Add rice and saute 1-2 minutes. Do not brown.

  • Add garlic water, salt and 1 parsley sprig. Bring to a boil.

  • Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 20 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.

  • Serve rice topped with bananas and remaining parsley sprig.
