Although this rice product is ideal to be heated in the microwave, it can also be heated over the stove if you feel more comfortable with that cooking method!
To heat rice in the microwave, squeeze the sealed pouch to blend grains with seasoning, tear 2 inches of the top to vent, and heat on HIGH for 90 seconds. Each bag has a serving of 1 cup of rice, so if you’re cooking for two or more, note that the cooking time for 2 pouches will be 2:30 minutes.
Note: Be careful when handling heated pouches, steam may burn. Unused portion can be refrigerated, once cooled down, in an airtight container – leftover olive oil and garlic jasmine rice will make a great addition to any fried rice recipe!
The stovetop method is just as simple. Start with squeezing the pouch, pour content into a skillet with 2 Tbsp water. Stir occasionally until heated through.
