How to Cook Organic Rice

This variety can be cooked over the stove or in the microwave.

On the stove, the liquid to grain ratio should be 2:1, two cups of water per each cup of organic rice. Bring water to a boil and simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes or until rice absorbs water. For a flavor boost, you can season cooking water with olive oil or salt.

To cook in the microwave, use 3 cups of water per cup of rice. Grains will cook at a slower pace. Start by microwaving on the highest power feature for 10 minutes, decrease power to a half and microwave for 20 more minutes. Let sit and fluff with a fork after 5 minutes have passed. Only use microwave-safe dishes and season rice to taste once cooked.
