Step 1
Rinse rice under water until the water runs clear. Drain any excess water. In a medium-sized pot set over medium heat, add rice, 2 cups water and almond milk to a boil.

Stir in cinnamon sticks, 1 tsp cinnamon, orange zest, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Reduce heat to low. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until rice is very tender and creamy. Remove and discard cinnamon sticks.
