Here’s an easy way to elevate beef kebabs with basmati rice and a delicious garnish.
Step 1
In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and all the spices. Add the beef cubes and toss to coat well.
Step 2
Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (you can also leave it overnight in the fridge for extra flavor).
Step 3
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 15–30 minutes to prevent burning.
Step 4
Thread the marinated beef onto skewers, alternating with pieces of red onion or bell pepper.
Step 5
Preheat grill to medium-high and cook skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness.
Step 6
Prepare Mahatma® Ready to Heat Basmati Rice according to the package instructions. Fluff gently with a fork.
Step 7
Serve the beef kebabs hot over the fluffy basmati rice.Add a side of lemon wedges, fresh herbs, and a drizzle of yogurt or tahini sauce if desired.
Cooking Tips:
For a shortcut, use store-bought kebab seasoning or spice rub instead of mixing individual spices.
Want more veggies? Serve with a quick side salad or sautéed greens.
You can also use ground beef formed into logs or patties if you don’t have skewers—just pan-fry them like mini kebabs.
