From Latin America all the way to Asia, rice and pepper recipes can be found all over the globe. With so many manners of preparing these two ingredients it’s no surprise that rice and peppers are a worldwide hit.

In this guide, we are going to take a look at some of our favorite recipes that you can prepare using peppers and Mahatma® Rice. Before we get into all the delicious possibilities, let’s learn how to actually cook our peppers.

How to Cook Peppers

There are a few different ways of cooking peppers, but here are the 2 most common ways:

Frying Peppers

First you’ll want to heat a little oil in a skillet, meanwhile cut your peppers into small slices. One thing to note is that the larger the peppers slices, the longer they will need to cook. Add peppers to the skillet and fry them until they are tender.

Cooking Tip: To avoid burning the skins, you’ll want to constantly stir them.

Roasting Peppers

Start by preheating your oven and lining a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Once your preheated oven is ready, place your peppers on the baking sheet. Coat them with a little cooking oil so they don’t stick to the pan and cook for around 40 minutes. Once your peppers are roasted, leave them to cool down for a few minutes and then serve.

Cooking Tip: Cut your peppers into smaller pieces to reduce cooking time.
